Hakobyan’s Experiences and Milestones

My career has been a dynamic journey across leading tech and fintech companies, including Binance, SAP and NTTData, each shaping my expertise in unique ways. At Binance, I gained firsthand experience in the fast-paced world of blockchain and cryptocurrency, fostering my interest in financial innovation. My time at SAP allowed me to refine my skills in enterprise technology and large-scale client solutions. NTTData further strengthened my abilities in consulting, project management and strategic problem-solving. These experiences have been pivotal in my current role at Raisin, where I’m able to leverage this diverse background to drive innovation in fintech and improve customer-centric financial solutions.

Challenges in Managing and Improving Business Processes

One of the biggest challenges in managing business processes at a fast-growing fintech like Raisin is probably maintaining scalability while keeping our innovative edge. As we expand across markets, ensuring streamlined processes without losing flexibility or speed is critical. Navigating different regulatory environments and integrating with diverse banking systems requires constant adaptation and flexibility. Additionally, aligning cross-functional teams across different geographies while ensuring a seamless customer experience remains essential. Balancing automation with a personalized touch to enhance both efficiency and customer satisfaction has been another key focus.

Balancing the Need for Innovation with Operational Efficiency

At Raisin, we prioritize innovation by continuously exploring new technology integrations, while keeping an eye on scalability and performance. We achieve this balance by fostering a culture of agility, where teams can quickly adapt to market changes and customer needs. Streamlining processes through automation allows us to maintain efficiency, freeing up resources for innovation. This dual focus definitely ensures we stay competitive while delivering high-quality, customer-centric solutions.

Addressing Predicaments as a Woman in High-Tech

Some of the barriers I’ve encountered as a woman in high-tech, especially in the beginning of my career journey are mainly navigating male-dominated environments, dealing with unconscious bias and sometimes also being underestimated, particularly in technical discussions or leadership settings. To overcome these, I’ve prioritized continuous learning, ensuring that my skills remain competitive and relevant, which boosts both confidence and credibility.

My advice is to embrace your expertise, continually seek growth and let your voice be heard—because this is your moment to shape not only the technology but the culture of the future

Nonetheless, I am fortunate to say that high-tech industry continues to push for a more inclusive and diverse landscape during the recent years. Currently, I feel more included than ever, working in an inclusive and diverse environment where everyone’s voice is valued equally, regardless of gender. Raisin's culture empowers all employees to succeed based on their skills, ideas and contributions and not based on their gender. This focus on equality allows me to focus on my work and contribute to the company’s innovation and growth without feeling constrained by gender-based challenges.

Fostering Greater Inclusion and Diversity

The role of women in technology is evolving positively, with increasing representation leading to more diverse perspectives that drive innovation. To foster greater inclusion, organizations should implement mentorship and sponsorship programs, adopt flexible work policies and provide bias training to all employees. Actively recruiting diverse talent and celebrating the achievements of women in tech can inspire future leaders. Ultimately, creating an inclusive culture that values diverse viewpoints will enhance both employee satisfaction and business performance.

Advice to Women in High-Tech Industries

The journey is both challenging and filled with potential. My advice is to embrace your expertise, continually seek growth and let your voice be heard—because this is your moment to shape not only the technology but the culture of the future. Web 3.0, with its foundations in decentralization and inclusivity, offers a rare opportunity to redefine what leadership looks like. Build your credibility and don’t shy away from making your mark in this new frontier. Lead with authenticity, passion and ethics, knowing that your unique perspective can drive meaningful change. And most importantly, remember that when you rise, you bring others up with you—creating a path for more women to follow and making the tech world stronger and more equitable for all.
