DowdingX and WindtalkerX products now available for arenas, healthcare, and critical infrastructure organizations
FREMONT, CA: In hospitals, arenas, and critical infrastructure sites, security leaders and first responders are struggling to manage the impact of drones, with more than 870,000 drones registered with the FAA. Unauthorized drones pose a wide range of risks, including attacks, collisions, espionage, and invasion of privacy, regardless of whether the pilots are careless hobbyists or criminals.
As part of its 25th-anniversary celebrations, Edgesource Corporation unveiled EdgesourceX, a commercial provider of Counter-Small Unmanned Aircraft Systems (C-sUAS). To protect companies, organizations, and individuals from drone threats, EdgesourceX builds trusted and scalable C-sUAS solutions.

Being able to support our customers for 25 years and helping them to achieve their respective missions has been very rewarding, said Tom Wilbanks, chairman, and founder of Edgesource. It illustrates the level of commitment, drive to innovate, and pragmatic approach to working directly with our customers to deliver results. We are excited to now offer some of these solutions to the commercial sector.
With years of experience providing innovative and efficient solutions and services to the U.S. government, we are now authorized to bring our Counter-sUAS solutions developed for the demands of the battlefield to the private sector, said Chris Lansburgh, president of Edgesource. Drone purchases have skyrocketed, and organizations are grappling with security risks, whether harm is intended or not. This technology will allow critical infrastructure, first responders, stadium officials, and high-profile individuals, among others, to manage their risk and privacy while protecting their air space.
Arenas: Over 1,400 drone incursions were recorded by NFL last season while flight restrictions were in place. During this year's MLB National League Division Series, an unauthorized drone forced play to be stopped.
Public Safety and Healthcare: Both helicopters and search and rescue operations have been known to be interfered with by drones.
Critical Infrastructure: Unauthorized drones were seen flying over Louisiana chemical facilities in September, prompting the FBI to warn about drones' threat to critical infrastructure.

Many celebrities have been plagued by rogue drones, despite California privacy laws prohibiting drones from taking pictures on private property.
Commercial customers now have access to Counter-sUAS technology from Edgesources. Products such as these are WindtalkerX and DowdingX.
The prevalence of drones and their use require a balance between privacy, security, and utility, and WindtalkerX and DowdingX are two key technologies that expand the umbrella of protection we provide our customers, said Joe Urbaniak, COO of Edgesource.
