Maintaining an agile workforce is crucial to meet the criteria of the competitive market. Therefore, business leaders and the HR departments must properly integrate Artificial Intelligence and humans to reach the wanted agility.
There is a belief that contrary to making the workplace agile, Artificial Intelligence makes human workers inactive. As per a report by Pew, 70% of Americans are skeptical about using Artificial Intelligence in the workplace.

But, this belief lacks a rational basis. AI is a technology that improves the capability of workers and helps companies properly channel the monotonous workload to technology to make the human workers more active and agile.
For example, monotonous, heavy, and complex back-office tasks are shifted to machines in the healthcare sector to enable the human workforce to focus more on other important areas.
Likewise, in the insurance industry, the risk factors related to a new deal are dealt with by leveraging robotic process automation because this time-consuming task makes the human workforce blunt and hampers the agility of an institution. So, a true collaboration between the human crew and AI must be made for agile.
Except for the integration of Artificial Intelligence, companies must focus on maintaining flexibility in the workplace to maintain an agile working ace. Ernst & Young's study pointed out that 77% of millennials believe that a flexible workplace enhances employees' productivity by providing true freedom.
In addition, to maintain agile working, companies need to cut short expenses related to the office building and allow employees to work from places according to their convenience.
Good collaboration and project management are essential to maintaining agility in the workplace. Companies must permit remote members to participate in an ongoing project, share their opinions with the team members, and render this task. To facilitate the whole communication process, management has to leverage various tools such as Skype, Basecamp, Slack, Zoom, and GoToMeeting. An agile workplace is beneficial for both employees and companies. The employees receive a better chance to maintain a work-life balance, and companies can reap more profit by maintaining a healthy relationship with employees.
