At the recent SAP TechEd conference, SAP announced the launch of a new offering which they say is set to drive the next wave of business transformation by unleashing the expertise of business users.
FREMONT, CA: At the most recent SAP TechEd conference, SAP (ETR: SAP) announced the release of a new service, asserting that it will help to accelerate the next wave of business transformation by releasing business users' expertise.
The company claims that SAP Build–which is based on the SAP business technology platform (BTP)–is a low-code solution that puts SAP's enterprise technology in the hands of business users, giving them direct, secure access to the end-to-end processes, data, and context they need to make better decisions and spur innovation quickly.

Business users with little-to-no technical know-how can construct and enhance corporate applications, automate workflows, and easily design business websites. According to, Juergen Mueller, member of the SAP Executive Board and Chief Technology Officer, SAP Build brings together the world's most sophisticated business applications with a platform that has been built to rapidly unleash business users' expertise.
In an unpredictable business environment, SAP Build and the full suite of innovations, from a new partnership with Coursera to improvements across the enterprise portfolio, help customers future-proof their operations and get the most out of their technological investments. Business users will have access to the entire functionality of SAP BTP and SAP business application data with SAP Build. Without transferring their data to an outside system, they can combine systems, intelligently monitor, analyse, and automate processes, and build applications for the final mile of innovation.
Users of SAP Build benefit from comprehensive visibility into all of their processes to the native integration of SAP Signavio solutions. This allows them to prioritise their efforts and make the biggest impacts possible while automating and innovating.
Users will be able to quickly access the complete range of business experiences built within SAP's technology thanks to more than 275,000 process reference points from 4,000 customers and 1,300 use-case-specific workflows and automation.
Non-SAP systems can also be used with SAP Build. According to the business, the new SAP Builders programme aids users in getting up to speed quickly and connecting with their colleagues through hands-on training and forums for exchanging best practices. Business professionals will become more involved in initiatives to create digital solutions to solve urgent business problems because the demand for modern digital solutions is greater than professional developers' capacity.
Over the next ten years, more than 100 million business people will participate in the creation of digital solutions globally. Business users can utilise SAP Builds low-code development solutions to quickly build and iterate on large-scale digital solutions by leveraging their domain expertise.
